AI helpers
Suggested tags, generated descriptions, code explanations, and prompt optimizing.
DevStash has four AI helpers. They are free for everyone for now, up to 20 requests an hour.
In the New Item form and in the drawer's Edit mode, Suggest Tags proposes tags from the item's title and content. Accept or dismiss each one.
Describe
Next to the Description field, Describe writes a one or two sentence description of the item for you to keep or edit.
Explain
Open a snippet or command in the drawer and click Explain in the code header. The explanation opens in a tab next to the code.
Optimize
Open a prompt in the drawer and click Optimize. The rewritten prompt opens in a tab next to the original, and Use This saves it over the original.
What gets sent
The helpers send the item's title, type, language, the URL for links, and up to 2,000 characters of its content to OpenAI to generate the result. Nothing is sent until you click a helper.
